Finals are over, the school supplies and things have been put away, and I'm ready to start something fun! How about a new review? ^_^;

Presenting...my Gaburevolver, brought to you by Kyoryu White...okay, okay, that was some really bad joke on my part.

Anyway, this is my dino gun.

Details on this beautiful toy is amazing. It's surprisingly show accurate, with few changes from the show version (namely, the barrel is transparent rather than painted, and there are minor paint differences between the show and toy version. So very minor that I am simply not going to give a second thought about it.) When the small level on the grip is pulled down and the tail yanked downwards as well, the muzzle opens, ready to chomp down two Beast Batteries. I'd show them again, but I'm sure I've spammed people enough with pics of these when I got them a few weeks ago, heh. XD

The fun begins when you turn it on. It gives you a generic, boring, explosion sound.

Pressing the trigger activates generic shooting noises too, like you know, your average blast noises. Nothing too fancy to go "WOW" at, as Amy would say.

Here I show off how nifty it is to be able to open up the muzzle with only one hand while filming with an iPhone in another, and show off the clacking sound as the gun prepares to eat some batteries.

And now, everyone's favorite moment in pretending to be a superhero...BRAVE, IN!

Sparky so wanted to do the samba henshin dance here, but doing it with an iPhone and some really bad balance issues...eenope nope nope.

Spinning the barrel AGAIN after doing the samba henshin (which also requires spinning of the barrel just like in the show) gets you the special attack of whatever battery you have placed in it, activating its unique sound effects and the very enthusiastic gun yelling "VAMOLA!"

Add a second battery, and you get the below sounds. The batteries' names are said in order of input, usually the bottom one first, and then the top one.

Spin the barrel again with both batteries to activate the special finishing move of both dinosaurs! Each dinosaur has its own special phrase. Gabutyra's Gabuuun! and Stymero's Meromerooon! come together with a lovely VAMOLA MUCHO!

And then there's a "hidden" feature that many reviewers tend to forget: the Armed On feature where, in the show, the gun can be rolled down the right arm of a Ranger to give them armor and a unique side weapon based off their respective dinosaurs. The sequence has two steps.

So, would I recommend this toy? If you like dinosaurs, you like role play weapons, and enjoy um, random crazy sound effects? XD This toy is not bad and the more batteries you buy, the more sounds you'll unlock. Pay to play thing going on here, but it won't be too bad, unless you're trying to get not just the individual battery sets, but the mecha, and the other role play items that are bundled with batteries. O.o Thankfully, the DX batteries are darn near identical to the candy toy and gashapon ones, which are cheaper and sold individually, so anyone who doesn't want to donate limbs to the Bandai monster can go for the batteries by themselves. And even CDs now come with the batteries too. Purchase the series soundtrack, for example, and you can get the Stegochi battery, along with a height growth chart for your kid. (Nice!)

Overall, I really do like the Gaburevolver. It's a nice role play weapon, though a tad heavy since most of the weight is in the barrel. One thing I would suggest is not playing with it too much with the sound effects turned on! The videos don't exactly convey how loud it really is. Seriously, this thing blasted my ears off. Then again, this is a dinosaur theme we're going with here, and they are supposed to be loud. Still, I can imagine Japanese parents plugging their ears as their kids run around the house with this while the gun screams "VAMOLA!" every couple of minutes. ^^; Can't wait to get more batteries for my gun and get some more playability out of this thing! :D
