Little late for Halloween, but...
Feb. 25th, 2011 12:29 amDone studying for tonight, so let's kick back with a little late night (midnight actually) drama. If you love horror movies, and can stand lots of blood and gore (and naked women!), you'll love GARO.
GARO tells the story of poor hapless Kaoru (this series "Damsel in distress") who gets kicked out by her landlord following one too many missed payments. Her bad luck gets even worse when she gets locked inside a museum and stands in the splash zone following the demise of a monster (aptly named a Horror) after meeting this Seto-Kaiba look-alike who happens to be a master swordsman who's trained in the art of slaying such monsters, and whose family has been doing this kind of thing for generations.
GARO's CGI is spectacular. It's so realistic, it'll leave you wondering whether or not it is real. There's a lot of wire-fu, but it's good wire-fu. ^_^ The fight scenes always leave me at the edge of my seat, but the Horrors make me cringe most of the time. I won't spoil anything, but if anyone hates clowns, you will want to skip over my pics of a later episode, since it'll make you folks never want to visit the circus EVER again. You have been warned.
For now, let's start with episode 1. Those of you who are prone to getting nightmares from watching horror flicks might want to skip this. But for you horror movie/TV series lovers, enjoy!
Warning: The following picture gallery has nudity, blood, extreme violence, scary images, and blood-curling screams. If you can stand all or some of the above, feel free to click below the cut.
( Where there is Light, shadows lurk and fear reigns. But by the blade of knights, mankind was given hope -- Ward Sexton )

See, you do like her. Or else you wouldn't be carrying her. Kouga and Kaoru, sitting in a tree... ^_^

See, you like her paintings too. If that isn't love, I don't know what else to tell ya. xD
I liked GARO. True, it turned me off at times because the monsters are sure to give you nightmares, but there's actually a very good love story underneath all the supernatural aspects of the story. And boy, is that real life Seto Kaiba gorgeous looking.
But if you want to watch this, I would like to give you fair warning that because this is a horror TV series, you may not want to watch this at night, in a pitch black room. Keep plenty of lights on while watching, or else you'll be scared for life. Seriously.
