Or one's whose paint jobs are so bad, they look like knock-offs. I won't bother writing a 10 page rant on the atrocity that was Bandai America's version of the Daibouken from Boukenger a.k.a. PR Overdrive. The Drivemax Megazord deserves the fan given name of "Dai-broken". >:(
Bandai Japan's quality impressed me so much, I got the Bulltaurus instead of its American counterpart, the Torozord. I wanted my shiny chain reins and diecast feet instead of a piece of yarn for reins and plastic feet. And chrome...there was no silver chrome at all on the Torozord...I couldn't stand that. And the Torozord lacks a tail...:( Only the Bulltaurus has a tail. Why did they remove the tail? It's firmly attached by a hinge that poses no threat to little childrens' fingers. I hated how they castrated Big Bully, so I naturally went for the Japanese version. It was cheaper than the US version on Ebay at the time, so I thought, why not? Bonus points for getting a Japanese toy from a import shop in the US. Didn't have to pay for shipping all the way from Japan. ^_^
