Darn Russians!

Not saying that everyone Russian is bad, since I have a good friend who is, but those "bots" or spammers whose journals are only in Russian annoy me. Especially since I have even been friended by someone whose journal is in a language I am not going to learn or bother to learn. >_>"

I do NOT tolerate spam. I do not require people to have to enter a captcha to comment on my journal, but do you really want me to do that to dissuade these spammers? DX ARRRGH! Banned and reported some as bots. Really now. I don't see the point of creating an account just to fill up my inbox with useless notifications.

2 more arrived in my inbox this morning. Both accounts have been reported for being so similar they have to be bots... if these people are, well, actual people, since some do have entries (albeit in Russian) just...I have to ask, WHY friend someone who can't read your language? >_>" Unless you just want to wait to see if I'll unconsciously friend you back so you can scour my entries for personal information, to which I say HELL NO, YOU MUST GO. Away with thee!

EDIT: All flames, spam, and bots will be fed to this bad boy here. Just a warning. >:)

I been checking my MyGuest feature to see who's been watching my journal and I been noticing that there are viewers who are Russian. I did get a friend request from a person who is Russian recently but I believe that person is a bot.

I also get Russian bots posting my journal from time to time.

It is a problem that LJ need to fix one day.

Incidentally, I think the Russians are responsible for most of the adult LJ groups as of right now. LOL!

I've been getting quite a few bots in the recent months too... I must send out bot-destroying kaijuu to rid my journal of them all. >:)

Just turned on MyGuests and tomorrow I should start seeing who visits my journal. That way I can watch the traffic like a hawk.

You'll be surprised how many readers that you get. Many of my readers are in my f-lists with a few miscellaneous guests and random people.

*crosses fingers* I presonally haven't had this problem, but you aren't the only one who has talked about it.

The is why I try and fix my settings to avoid this as much as possible. I know it's not IMPOSSIABLE for this to happen to me, but I think I've cut them to bits and peices and slowed them to a crippling claw.

But I agree, why make an account if all you are going to do is spam people.
