O_o.

So the History department, after 2 years and multiple "spamming" in my mailbox and email inbox, seems to have finally gotten tired of me constantly and politely--in no way was I rude to my professors in said department--turning down invitations to join some honor society. Apparently, it seems, if I'm too humble to join the Phi Alpha Theta, the history honor society, I should be even more honored to join Phi Kappa Phi, the national honor society. Um...Yay?

It's not the first time I've been given invites to attend an honor society (I got into the Spanish Honor Society in high school despite never considering learning new languages my strong point). Nor is this the first time my academic achievements have been recognized. I used to be always nominated for being either top of my class or top of the ENTIRE SCHOOL (is that even possible? I think I nearly fainted on stage once when they announced I was like, one of the top 10 students in the entire school...Um...really?! Am I just that good?) O_o when I was attending Chinese school (which, btw, basically meant I was in school 6 days a week, and I HATED having to Chinese homework on top of any English homework I had), so my academic achievements are usually pretty high. You're looking at someone who ALWAYS scored an A on midterms and finals in Chinese school here. Go Me!

Now the question is, should I join Phi Kappa Phi? All the signs point to 'yes'. I mean, you got to take into consideration that it's the NATIONAL Honor Society. In retrospect I probably should have accepted invites to join Phi Alpha Theta, if only to toss that in a resume to impress potential employers and nothing else. xD

Will take this into serious consideration. I mean, hey, it's never a bad thing to be noticed (constantly) for your stellar academic achievements.

ahahahahaha Chinese school! The teachers hated me and my friends because all we did was sit in the back of the room and goof off. They never split us up though, until high school. I spent ages 6-14 having 2 hours of not learning Chinese haha.
