Done studying for tonight, so let's kick back with a little late night (midnight actually) drama. If you love horror movies, and can stand lots of blood and gore (and naked women!), you'll love GARO.

GARO tells the story of poor hapless Kaoru (this series "Damsel in distress") who gets kicked out by her landlord following one too many missed payments. Her bad luck gets even worse when she gets locked inside a museum and stands in the splash zone following the demise of a monster (aptly named a Horror) after meeting this Seto-Kaiba look-alike who happens to be a master swordsman who's trained in the art of slaying such monsters, and whose family has been doing this kind of thing for generations.

GARO's CGI is spectacular. It's so realistic, it'll leave you wondering whether or not it is real. There's a lot of wire-fu, but it's good wire-fu. ^_^ The fight scenes always leave me at the edge of my seat, but the Horrors make me cringe most of the time. I won't spoil anything, but if anyone hates clowns, you will want to skip over my pics of a later episode, since it'll make you folks never want to visit the circus EVER again. You have been warned.

For now, let's start with episode 1. Those of you who are prone to getting nightmares from watching horror flicks might want to skip this. But for you horror movie/TV series lovers, enjoy!

Warning: The following picture gallery has nudity, blood, extreme violence, scary images, and blood-curling screams. If you can stand all or some of the above, feel free to click below the cut.

No, you must not open the box!!! Don't open the box!!! O.o

No harm ever came from looking at a nude painting... right? Right? >_>

O....M....G.... >_<

AHHHH!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Uh oh, we're in trouble...

The first time I saw this guy, I seriously thought "Seto Kaiba" for a moment. Doesn't he look like Seto Kaiba? xD

The light...stay away from the light!! But this guy is one cool dude. I'll show you why in a bit.

This is Kaoru. She's trying to make a living as an artist. I really like her drawings, btw. So purdy.

Cool axes. The designers really went overboard with the art direction here.

This is Kaoru's psychiatrist. He's really not a nice guy though. For now, let's pretend he's a good dude, because Kaoru trusts him to understand her personal problems.

HEY! No need to say it like that! Bad lady!

Dude! Okay, okay, take that back! Bad man! Bad man! >o<

Oh ew! Gross!

I love green colored flame, it just looks cool. Glad Kouga uses it a lot in the series. :)

Yeah, and it's angry. When are Horrors never angry, anyway? O_o

Talking ring encyclopedia? Sweet. I want one. No need to go on Google searches ever again if you have this thing, apparently ^.^

Shish-kabob, anyone?

*Gag, barf* What the heck is THAT?!

Say it, don't spray it!

This is brutal x 100000. No words can describe this scene.

Nightmare fuel. Enough said.

Epic Moment of Awesomeness...starts now.

Hark, what light from yonder ceiling breaks?

Nightmare Fuel, part 2.

Bad guys must be defeated before this timer goes boom. Bad things happen if it goes to 0. Really bad things. Spoilers aside, this timer is so important, it shows up in every single episode.

I just LOVE the armor. So shiny... *o*

Horror used Ink Splatter! It's not very effective...

Pillar stood in way! It's super effective!

Holy crap, the floor, look at the floor! O_O

This. Is. Awesome.

I would be screaming if I was covered in that yucky stuff.

C'mon, admit it, you like her. You really really like her. *nudge, nudge, wink, wink*

See, you do like her. Or else you wouldn't be carrying her. Kouga and Kaoru, sitting in a tree... ^_^

See, you like her paintings too. If that isn't love, I don't know what else to tell ya. xD

I liked GARO. True, it turned me off at times because the monsters are sure to give you nightmares, but there's actually a very good love story underneath all the supernatural aspects of the story. And boy, is that real life Seto Kaiba gorgeous looking.

But if you want to watch this, I would like to give you fair warning that because this is a horror TV series, you may not want to watch this at night, in a pitch black room. Keep plenty of lights on while watching, or else you'll be scared for life. Seriously.

I agree. I'd rather have one really cool figure than an assortment of ones whose arms fall off if you so much as look at them.

Or one's whose paint jobs are so bad, they look like knock-offs. I won't bother writing a 10 page rant on the atrocity that was Bandai America's version of the Daibouken from Boukenger a.k.a. PR Overdrive. The Drivemax Megazord deserves the fan given name of "Dai-broken". >:(

Bandai Japan's quality impressed me so much, I got the Bulltaurus instead of its American counterpart, the Torozord. I wanted my shiny chain reins and diecast feet instead of a piece of yarn for reins and plastic feet. And chrome...there was no silver chrome at all on the Torozord...I couldn't stand that. And the Torozord lacks a tail...:( Only the Bulltaurus has a tail. Why did they remove the tail? It's firmly attached by a hinge that poses no threat to little childrens' fingers. I hated how they castrated Big Bully, so I naturally went for the Japanese version. It was cheaper than the US version on Ebay at the time, so I thought, why not? Bonus points for getting a Japanese toy from a import shop in the US. Didn't have to pay for shipping all the way from Japan. ^_^
